The children at Cowes Primary School have been enjoying lots of literacy themed activities in aid of World Book Day. Pupils were encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character and enter ‘A story in a Jar’ Competition.   They  have also been listening to their teachers favourite stories from their own childhood!

Year 5 and 6 pupils were lucky enough to see a show called 'The Ark and Dove' performed at Cowes Library. Year 5 pupils, Molly Harker, Kayla Bradbury & Ruby Roff wrote “The show was about a lady called Mary who went from the small Isle of Wight to the sunny new lands of America four hundred years ago. They went through ferocious storms and saw fat sunfish. They met new tribes and made friends with them. It was an amazing story about part of the history of Cowes. Did you know the ships set sail from our home town? We thought Michele was an amazing actor who worked really hard to learn all her lines!
